Many Blackburn Rovers fans have taken to Twitter to react to Ben Brereton's assist for Chile last night in the Copa America. 

The Stoke born striker has been starring for the South American side in this season's competition since receiving his shock call up back in May.

It turns out that his mother was in fact born in the country, meaning that the 22-year-old was eligible for a call up that shocked many around the footballing world.

Brereton was in top form again for his side last night as he laid on an assist for Eduardo Vargas to score against Uruguay, which resulted in Chile qualifying for the quarter finals of the historic competition.

Naturally many of the Rovers fanbase were quick to take to social media to react to the striker's exploits, with many offering their thoughts last night.
