Bristol City picked up an impressive 1-0 win against rivals Cardiff City last night, moving them up to second in the table.
Even though they will drop down once today’s games have been played, it was a significant win for the Robins and boss Dean Holden, with the side showing real determination to hang on after Chris Martin’s early strike.
The visitors came under pressure for large spells against the Bluebirds but they were defensively solid, with skipper Tomas Kalas starring at centre-back.
The Czech international was aggressive in dealing with Kieffer Moore and he positioned himself well all night to help preserve the clean sheet.
Whilst there were several standout performers, it was the ex-Chelsea man who was named man of the match by the fans on Twitter and the support were delighted with his committed display.
