Birmingham City completed the signing of left-back Kristian Pedersen yesterday to solve a real problem position for Garry Monk.

The former Leeds boss is set to make some changes to his squad this summer to ensure Blues aren’t in yet another relegation scrap next May and Pedersen is his first signing.
The 23-year old’s arrival is much-needed with Jonathan Grounds the only senior left-back at the club and he missed several months towards the end of the previous campaign through injury.
Now, Pedersen will provide him with serious competition having joined from Union Berlin on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The Danish U21 international is an attack-minded full-back, who has also played as a winger, and will look to get forward a lot, exactly what Monk demands from players in those positions.
Unsurprisingly, this deal has gone down very well with Blues fans. Here’s how they reacted to the signing on twitter…

Wow, a signing of real intent. If we sign a left back for a few million, imagine what we will spend on a striker!
We are massive.
Welcome pedersen ????????
