Millwall appointed Gary Rowett as manager on Monday evening as they found their replacement to former boss Neil Harris.

Rowett comes into the role with a wealth of Championship experience and will be hoping his knowledge can help the Lions climb the table after a rather inconsistent start to the season.

Millwall had been led by caretaker manager Adam Barrett during their absence without a boss, and after winning against Leeds before the international break, he was spoken of as a potential successor to Harris alongside a few others.

However, Millwall lost 3-2 on Saturday, having been 2-0 up, and that collapse may have been what confirmed that they need someone with more experience.

Rowett has managed clubs such as Stoke, Derby and Birmingham and will be hoping that he can stay in this job longer than he did at those clubs.

Here's how Millwall supporters reacted to the appointment of Rowett on social media...
