Football League World head to the Stadium Of Light tonight as Sunderland host Rochdale.

The Black Cats have enjoyed an excellent run of late which stretches back to the early December defeat against Gillingham.

That unbeaten run came to a prompt end last week as Phil Parkinson's side fell to a 2-0 defeat against Portsmouth, however they bounced back in style at the weekend.

Sunderland recorded a crucial 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday to firmly establish themselves as promotion contenders.

That result has moved them into the play-off places, however that means nothing if they can't follow it up with another good result.

Sunderland may be heavy favourites, but Rochdale shouldn't be underestimated.

The Dale have had a difficult season so far and find themselves in 18th place in the League One table.

While a relegation battle appears highly unlikely, Brian Barry-Murphy will be keen to get some more results on the board to move themselves up the table.

Can you name every Sunderland player's shirt number this season?

Rochdale have the worst defensive record outside of the league's bottom three, and this is something that Sunderland will be looking to exploit at the Stadium of Light.

Chris Maguire will be brimming with confidence after his stunning effort against Ipswich Town at the weekend, and the hope is that he can pick up where he left off at the weekend.

A victory for Sunderland would be another step in the right direction, however they'll have to overcome what could be a potential banana skin.
