Update on Sanderson's future emerges

The Wolves loanee has been linked once again with a move to Cardiff City but, according to Smith, Johnson has held positive talks with the Molineux club concerning his future.

It is believed that Sanderson is happy to stay and while the Premier League club do have the option to recall him, the Black Cats boss is not concerned about them doing so.

West Ham linked with Josh Maja

Maja's departure from the Stadium of Light was well documented in the 'Sunderland 'Til I Die' Netflix series but it seems the Bordeaux forward could be set for a return to English football.

talkSPORT's Alex Crook has indicated that Maja could be a target for West Ham United, who are in the market for a new striker after selling Sebastian Haller to Ajax.
