Recently relegated Sunderland could make a move for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban, according to the Sun (Print edition, Sunday 23rd July 2017).

The former Rotherham and Norwich striker has not quite settled in for the Cherries since sealing a move to the Eddie Howe's men, and spent the latter part of last season on loan with Reading, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League following defeat at Wembley.

Sunderland though now appear to be the club in the frame to sign Grabban, with manager Simon Grayson keen to add more strikers to his squad following the bitter blow of losing Jermaine Defoe to the Cherries.

Grabban, now 29, will no doubt be open to a move to the North East club having been knocked even further down the pecking order with Defoe's arrival at the club.

He is however proven in the Championship and has scored goals for numerous clubs in what has been a decent career thus far for the athletic front man.

Sunderland are looking to bounce back to the Premier League immediately following last seasons disastrous campaign, and will no doubt be hoping someone like Grabban can fire in the goals to get them back to the top flight in England.

Sunderland fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know your thoughts!
