Sunderland could be set for another blow in their quest to stay in the Championship with the news that midfielder Dider N'Dong is wanted by Premier League Watford.

According to sources at HITC, the midfielder is admired by new Hornets manager Javi Gracia, and he could move for Ndong before the end of this week as he seeks to make a few tweaks to his new squad ahead of his first Premier League game in charge.

Ndong has failed to light up the Stadium of Light as many expected he would since he sealed a big money move from French side Lorient back in August 2016, and he has so far failed to find the net this season for the Black Cats as they have struggled for form in the Championship.

Ndong though is highly-rated across some management circles and at 23, Gracia will see him as a work in progress and see some big scope for improvement with the midfielder.

Sunderland picked up a vital win last time out in the Championship, and new manager Chris Coleman will be hoping if Ndong does go, that he is afforded some of the money raised to add some much needed quality to his squad before the end of the week.

Sunderland fans, what do you make of this? Good news? Let us know in the comments!
