It has been a busy week for Sunderland of the back of their 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town at the weekend.

The result with the Cod Army means that Jack Ross' men remain unbeaten in the league thus far, winning four of their opening seven league games.

As they prepare to travel to Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon, in this round-up, we take a look at all things Sunderland from the past week...

The week began with some Monday motivation, with the club posting some pitchside highlights of Josh Maja's equaliser against Fleetwood from the weekend - his 5th goal of the campaign already.

There was also a chance to sit down a talk with Black Cats midfielder George Honeyman, who spoke of his pride at captaining his boyhood club, at the age of just 24-years-old.

It has also been a busy period off the pitch, with the Black Cats making a statement on the future of defender Papy Djilobodji.

The £8million signing from Werder Bremen in 2016 has made very few appearances in two years of football for the North East club, and the club here issued a statement clarifying the 29-year-old's future at the Stadium of Light - with the club informing him he's in breach of contract, leaving him out on his ear.
