Sunderland manager Jack Ross is keen on signing Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old former Middlesbrough man has been impressing for a number of seasons now north of the border, and Sunderland manager Ross is well aware of his talents following his spell with St Mirren.

However, it appears now Ross is ready to strike and bring the winger to the Stadium of Light in what would be another welcome new additon to the Black Cats squad.

Sunderland are currently in full rebuild mode and in new manager Ross, they will hope they have the right man to take them back into the Championship at the first attempt.

A summer clearout of sorts has already take place, and after signing Glenn Loovens yesterday, it appears the Sunderland manager is not slowing down with his recruitment, as he looks to add Jones to his squad before the big kick off in two weeks time.

Jones has made just shy of 100 appearances for Killie and has been a more or less ever present for the last two seasons. A Redcar native, the former Boro man might well be keen on a move back to the northeast, and Black Cats manager Ross will no doubt be looking to use this to his advantage.

Sunderland fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
