HITC Sport understand that Sunderland are targeting a move for Nottingham Forest’s Oliver Burke.
Burke is a product of the Nottingham Forest youth academy, and has made 26 appearances for the first team since graduating in 2014. The youngster also had a loan spell with Bradford in 2015.
The 19-year-old has been made a first team regular at the City Ground since Phillipe Montanier’s arrival, playing in all four of Forest’s matches this season, as well as scoring in their opening day victory over Burton Albion.
After beating Burton on the opening day, Forest lost their next 2 league games to Brighton and Brentford, and have also defeated Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup first round.
David Moyes has added three new faces to his Sunderland squad since being appointed manager earlier this summer, all of which have been from his former club Manchester United, in Donald Love, Paddy McNair and Adnan Januzaj.
