Sunderland fans will have already accepted the fact that the club will be playing in League One next season after a disastrous campaign that sees them bottom of the league, and six points from safety with three to play.

Chris Coleman was appointed the Black Cats boss mid-season and despite the situation the club are in, he has promised to stay on next season.

Whilst some will question the job he has done, there's no doubt that the real problems with Sunderland stem from the very top with owner Ellis Short desperate to sell.

Whether he does or doesn't in the coming months, Coleman has vowed to make big changes this summer and that will please fans.

Here we look at four players who could be shown the door...

The keeper only signed a short-term deal at the Stadium of Light and it's hard to imagine he will get another one.

Sunderland have had major problems with the goalkeeping position all season but Camp has been just as bad, if not worse.

The former West Brom full back has had a very poor season personally and is now a long way away from the team, which fans won't be too bothered about.

It's hard to see how he has a future with the north east club and will surely move on in the summer.

Like Camp, LuaLua signed a short-term deal and was expected to be the man to bring a bit of flair and excitement to the Sunderland attack.

In fairness to the former Brighton winger, he has suffered with injuries which has limited his game time.

He has the ability to be a big player in League One but will need to impress in the upcoming matches and training to get a new deal.

Cattermole has been a regular in Sunderland's demise over the years and hasn't been near his best this season, even if he has put in some good performances against Derby and Reading recently.

Whilst Coleman clearly values the player, who still has years left on his deal, he is sure to be one of the bigger earners at the club which means they may look to sell him on.

Whether they find a buyer is questionable but Cattermole's time with the Wearside outfit could be coming to an end.
