Sunderland have had a disastrous season and are currently bottom of the Championship, with a second successive relegation seeming inevitable.

Chris Coleman's men are five points from safety and haven't won in ten games, with only eight left to play.

Whilst owner Ellis Short remains in charge it's hard for any fans to be optimistic given his lack of interest in the club and many doubt whether the Black Cats would be able to bounce back to the second tier immediately should they go down.

However, even though Sunderland's problems stem from the top of the club, there's no doubt that the players are not performing either, particularly the more established names in the squad.

Given that, there aren't many players that fans will be sad to see leave, although we have picked out two that supporters will want to stay at the Stadium of Light...

The 18-year old has established himself as a regular this season, becoming a key player for Coleman despite his age.

Unsurprisingly, that has seen several clubs from the Premier League linked with a move for the Sweden U21 international and it will surely appeal to the player.

Yet, the Black Cats will hope to build the team around their talented young players in the years to come - and Asoro is arguably the best prospect they have.

Similarly, Maja is another promising youngster who has broken into the first-team this season, even if he hasn't made the same impact as Asoro.

The 19-year old has good pace, movement and is a decent finisher which will have attracted interest from other clubs if Sunderland are forced to sell in the summer.

Again, Coleman will be hoping to keep the youngster but he may not get much say in the decision if the right bid comes in, which will worry fans.
