Sunderland emerge as second favourites to land former striker this summer

Sports betting company Ladbrokes have installed Sunderland as second favourites to sign Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell this summer.

Fraizer Campbell was used very sparingly last season by Crystal Palace and he is set to leave the club next month when his contract at Selhurst Park comes to an end.

Huddersfield Town have been made favourites to sign Campbell, according to Ladbrokes, with even money for him to join the Premier League newcomers.

David Wagner has only just guided his club to the Premier League via the play-offs but he is already keen to bolster his squad.

Campbell was born in Huddersfield and might fancy a return to his hometown.

The Terriers will be rivalled for Campbell by Sunderland, who have been installed as second favourites at 4/1 to sign the 29-year-old.

The diminutive centre forward won his one and only England cap during his four year stint with the Black Cats.

Swansea (11/2) are third favourites.
