Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Luke O’Nien is undergoing a medical at the Stadium of Light ahead of a move to Sunderland.

According to a tweet from sports journalist Peter O’Rourke, the 23-year-old central midfielder, who started his youth career at Premier League side Watford, is on the verge of signing for the Black Cats.

Jack Ross has bought in a huge amount of players to Sunderland this summer, and will certainly be going into the League One season as title contenders.

Assuming there are now hindrances or issues with the medical, Luke O’Nien will become the Black Cats tenth signing of the summer.
