Sunderand takeover update given after fresh interest is revealed

Juan Sartori and Kyril Louis-Dreyfus are still in the driving seat when it comes to trying to take over control of Sunderland, according to the Sunderland Echo.
The Black Cats have been subject of speculation over the ownership for some time and it has been revealed recently that Stewart Donald has accepted an offer from Sartori and Louis-Dreyfus and they are currently in a period of exclusivity, trying to get the deal done.
Indeed, this means they remain the number one candidates ahead of Matthew Pauls, who has also been revealed as a potential buyer in recent days.
The Verdict
Sunderland fans will be pleased that there are interested parties in owning the Black Cats and they’ll just hope that whoever does end up owning the football club next will be able to get them up the football pyramid once more.
It’s clear many supporters want Stewart Donald to leave the helm and that could be heading closer towards happening with the news about Sartori and Louis-Dreyfus.
Pauls, meanwhile, may still get a chance if things do not work out for the former pair but as long as the club gets a new ownership structure in place that fans are pleased with that is all that really matters.
