As the season edges closer and closer to its conclusion, any threat of relegation for Queens Park Rangers has waned following the return of Ian Holloway.

Under the management of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, it appeared that Queens Park Rangers were being dragged further and further into a relegation dogfight.

However, after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was replaced by Ian Holloway, there was a clear improvement in the results and a steady climb up the table.

Although there has been a level of stability since Holloway's arrival, the squad was built by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink which Ian Holloway will need to address in the summer.

Rather than looking abroad for potential targets, it appears that Ian Holloway will instead turn to the lower leagues as he looks to unearth gems who could become stars at Queens Park Rangers.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at THREE players Ian Holloway must send scouts to watch as soon as possible....

Fred Onyedinma

In what has been a season which has seen a number of young talents emerge, one of the brightest in League One is Millwall's 20-year-old right midfielder Fred Onyedinma.

After beginning his career by spending a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers, Fred Onyedinma has since returned and cemented his place in Millwall's starting line-up.

Having made over 40 League One appearances this season, Onyedinma is more than capable playing at the League One level.

The attention the 20-year-old winger is already attracting from both the Championship and the Premier League suggests that he is capable of playing at a much higher level.

One of the Championship clubs reportedly interested is Queens Park Rangers which suggests that Onyedinma could be making an inter-city switch in the summer.

In the final weeks of the season, Ian Holloway must send scouts to watch the young winger as he attempts to help Millwall go one step further than last season and earn promotion back to the Championship via the play-offs.

Connor Ripley

Despite Oldham Athletic's struggles this season, one standout performer throughout the entirety of the campaign has been Connor Ripley.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper is currently on loan at Oldham Athletic from Middlesbrough, however, it is unlikely that Ripley will be given regular first team action once he returns to his parent club.

Connor Ripley's impressive performances have been recognised as it was announced that he was part of the League 1 team of the season.

Connor Ripley is a player that Ian Holloway must send scouts to watch as a potential first team replacement.

George Thomas

After George Thomas starred in Coventry City's victory over fellow League 1 side Oxford United in the EFL Trophy final, the 20-year-old midfielder has begun attracting attention from the Championship.

George Thomas' Wembley heroics have been one of his many excellent performances as he has emerged as the shining light in a dismal season for Coventry City.

This season, despite featuring in a struggling side, George Thomas has been particularly impressive as he has established himself as a regular first team starter for the Sky Blues.

With Coventry City's relegation to League 2 all but confirmed, Coventry City is resigned to losing George Thomas to a Championship or Premier League side in the summer.
