Garry Monk's first game in charge of Sheffield Wednesday ended in victory, with the Owls winning 2-0 against Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town on Sunday afternoon.

All eyes were on the John Smith's Stadium as two new managers took to the dugouts for the very first time - Danny Cowley in the Town corner, and Monk in the Wednesday corner.

But it was the latter who picked up all three points in his first game at the helm of the Owls, thanks to headers from Steven Fletcher and Sam Winnall.

Wednesday came flying out of the traps and got off to a perfect start - Kadeem Harris putting in a fantastic delivery for Fletcher, who rose highest to head home on 10 minutes.

After orchestrating the midfield all afternoon, Barry Bannan played a key role in the Owls' second goal of the game, whipping in another delicious delivery, which was met by the head of substitute Sam Winnall.

After the game, Bannan was quick to praise Monk after a successful first week in charge of the Yorkshire club, but the Scottish midfielder also received a host of compliments on social media after the comfortable win.

Here, we take a look at Wednesday fans' reactions to Bannan's performance against Huddersfield...
