Andre Ayew has completed his move to Qatari side Al Sadd following his departure from Swansea City, the striker himself has confirmed.

The 31-year-old had been a free agent following his departure from Swansea following the expiry of his contract at the end of last season.

Ayew spent two spells with Swansea throughout his career, during which he scored a total of 47 goals in 141 appearances in all competitions for the club, helping them to the Championship play-offs in each of the last two seasons.

But having left the Liberty Stadium earlier this summer, Ayew's new destination has now been announced, with the 31-year-old completing a move to Al Sadd.

Taking to Twitter to confirm that move, Ayew was keen to express his happiness at joining the club who had given his father his opportunity in the game outside his native Ghana.
