Marcelo Bielsa has faced recent criticism for his reluctance to start Jamal Blackman in place of the out of form Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Peacock-Farrell has struggled to replicate the good form he had shown last season and many fans would have hoped to have seen Blackman be given a chance in the side.

But that chance has now gone as Blackman suffered a broken leg in an under 23s match against Birmingham during the international break.

Speaking in a press conference, Bielsa admitted that Blackman was due to start the game against Bristol City this weekend before he was ruled out of action.

Peacock-Farrell has since been ruled out of action himself with a knee injury, but Leeds fans weren't happy with Bielsa openly admitting he was prepared to axe the 22-year-old for the now departed Blackman.
