Notts County’s stunning move to sign Spanish international midfielder Diego Capel could be hanging by a thread, with news emerging that his advisors want more money in wages.
A report by the Sun has revealed that Capel’s advisory team have found out how much he would have to pay in UK tax, and despite County offering some £10,000 a week, plus £5,000 per game played, his team are hanging on for money, frustrating the County camp in the process.
Capel’s move to Notts came as a massive surprise a few weeks back when it was revealed the Spaniard could be on his way over the Midlands, but the move has since hit a snag, and it now appears that off the field matters are leaving Capel in limbo as to if he will have a new club.
The midfielder appears keen to join County, but news of his advisors stalling on the move will be frustrating for all parties, and County could well end up pulling the plug if wage demands become too high, leaving Capel looking back to square one in his hunt for a new club.
Notts County fans, what do you make of this? Will you finally sign Capel? Let us know in the comments!
