David Prutton is expecting Bradford City to return to winning ways in Sky Bet League One this weekend when they face Bristol Rovers, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton has predicted that Bradford will beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at Valley Parade on Saturday, with Dom Poleon scoring the game’s opening goal.

Bradford picked up back-to-back victories from their first two games of the 2017/18 season, with Stuart McCall’s side over coming Blackpool and Gillingham to make a strong start to the season.

However, the Bantams’ form has slipped over the last couple of weeks, with McCall’s side losing to Blackburn Rovers before throwing away a three-goal lead and drawing 3-3 with Walsall last weekend.

With the Premier League and Championship taking a break this weekend, all focus will be on League One and Two, with Bradford’s clash with Bristol Rovers a standout fixture.

Darrell Clarke’s Bristol Rovers had contrasting fortunes to Bradford at the start of the season, losing their first two fixtures of the season against Charlton Athletic and Peterborough United.

However, Rovers travel to Valley Parade in search of a hat-trick of League One victories, following back-to-back triumphs over Bury and Fleetwood Town in recent weeks.

The Verdict

Both Bradford and Bristol enter this weekend’s clash in contrasting league form, with the home side in desperate need of three-points following a difficult few weeks.

After such a strong start to the season, McCall will be frustrated by Bradford’s recent slump in form, with expectations high at Valley Parade after last season’s success.

This is a mouth-watering clash between two of League One’s better sides, and despite Prutton predicting a home victory, it is hard to rule out Clarke’s side picking up at least a point.
