Versatile Leeds United man Stuart Dallas has sent a personal message to the club’s fans after he agreed a new deal at Elland Road.
The Northern Irishman penned a four-year extension at Elland Road on Wednesday evening, joining Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips in committing his future to the Whites, and he shared his thoughts shortly after.
Taking to Instagram, Dallas wrote: “Absolutely delighted to have committed my future to this amazing club. Thank you for all the kind messages.”
The midfielders future was cast into doubt when Marcelo Bielsa was appointed manager last summer but he has since proving his worth with a number of impressive displays in a number of positions.
Last season saw him play on both sides of the midfield as well as a right-back and a left-back, scoring twice against Derby County in the play-off semi-finals whilst in the latter.
This campaign has seen him become a first-team regular, plying his trade impressively at right-back with Luke Ayling remaining sidelined with an injury.
The Whites currently sit in third place with six matches played as they look to finish what they started last season and win promotion to the Premier League.
Dallas’s story has been so impressive over the past two seasons and has worked wonders to get into the position he currently is.
But he has become one of the club’s most important players now. With a thin squad, his ability to slot in a number of positions it utterly invaluable and they would not have come as close as they did last season without him.
However, he seems to have made the right-back position his own now.
