Struggling Sunderland lining up January swoop for talented Championship ace

Premier League club Sunderland are said to be weighing up a bid for Norwich left-back Robbie Brady, according to The Telegraph.

Manager David Moyes is reportedly interested in bringing in players who have proven their worth in English football which in theory seems a good strategy to go by – especially when fighting for survival.

Despite being part of the side which got relegated with Norwich City just last season, Brady still showed his class in the Premier League featuring in all but 2 matches of the season.

His reputation was then certainly not harmed after his superb performances in the European Championships this summer with his national side Republic of Ireland.

The former Manchester United man was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the summer with many clubs including Leicester City and West Ham United reportedly willing to pay big money for the 24-year-old.

With Norwich City being one of the favourites for promotion this season it is perhaps unlikely that Brady would want to leave the club, and Norwich City will certainly do whatever they can to keep him at Carrow Road.

If Sunderland were to get their man then they would be receiving a fantastic player.

His attitude to the game is second to none and his versatility of being able to play anywhere along the left hand side could prove vital to the Black Cats.

Norwich fans… How disappointed would you be to see Brady leave the club? Do you think it is likely to happen? Let us know what you think about the rumour down below!
