After a big wobble earlier in the season, Sunderland are back on track with their push for promotion to the Championship.

The heavy defeats to Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Portsmouth have been left behind as Lee Johnson has well and truly turned that form on its head.

The Black Cats are currently on a six-match unbeaten run in League One and this afternoon they make the long trip to a team they have played and defeated already in the last month in Ipswich Town.

Quiz: What club did Sunderland sign each of these 29 players from?

Lee Burge?

It was a 2-0 victory over the Tractor Boys that kick-started Sunderland’s latest unbeaten streak but they may be a different prospect for one on home soil, but also because they now have a new head coach in Kieran McKenna from Manchester United although it is John McGreal who takes charge for the final time as caretaker todau.

Coming off the back of a 2-1 win over a promotion rival in Plymouth Argyle, Lee Johnson had some decisions to make but with not much of a senior squad to choose from, he has opted for an unchanged line-up in Suffolk this afternoon, with Lynden Gooch being passed fit after an injury scare.

What do Sunderland fans make of that decision though? Let’s see what they are saying on social media.
