Managing a football club with a strict transfer budget is never an easy task for any manager, although it must be stated that Coventry City boss Mark Robins seems to have cracked it this season, with the Sky Blues currently topping League One.

After enduring what was a largely non-eventful campaign last time out, Robins took a different approach to transfers this term, preferring to bring in young players that can be developed under his guidance as opposed to signing more experienced pros.

As a result of this shift in transfer approach, the Sky Blues boss brought in the likes of Callum O'Hare and Liam Walsh on loan from Aston Villa and Bristol City, with both players having gone on to become two of the team's most consistent performers this term.

Here, we have drawn up a list of TWO transfer links that Coventry City could revisit in the summer months....

Bright Enobakhare

After previously turning out for the Sky Blues back in the 2018/2019 season, Enobakhare was once again linked with a move to the Midlands club back in January.

Coventry fans will have good memories of the player's last spell with the club, with the versatile forward having racked up an impressive six goals and three assists in 18 League One outings last season.

Currently struggling for game time after an ineffectual loan spell at Wigan Athletic earlier in the campaign, the versatile forward is seemingly surplus to requirements at Wolves.

Given that the Sky Blues were so strongly linked with the player a few months ago, it would not be a surprise if they made another move for a player that has already proven himself at League One level this summer.

Tyler Walker

The Nottingham Forest striker was previously of interest to the Sky Blues last summer, but alas the 23-year-old plucked for a loan move to Coventry's League One rivals Lincoln City instead.

After notching 16 goals for the Imps across all competitions, the striker was duly recalled by his parent club back in January in order to provide competition for Lewis Grabban up top for the promotion chasing Reds.

Unfortunately Walker has been largely underused by Sabri Lamouchi since returning to the City Ground and could well be set for another temporary spell away from the club next term in order to continue his development.

A powerful and physically imposing figure, Walker would offer something a little different for the Coventry frontline if he were to make the move across the Midlands to the Sky Blues this summer.
