Patrick Bamford may join QPR after seeing his loan spell at Crystal Palace cut short

The Chelsea front man has recently had a season long loan at Crystal Palace cut short, as both parties concluded a lack of game time was not good for anyone involved.

Bamford has spent previous spells on loan in the Championship with both Derby County and Middlesbrough, where he demonstrated his goalscoring prowess with numerous displays of lethal finishing.

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink will be keen to add to his squad, who are without a win in the eight games he has had in charge since taking over.

Following the sale of star striker Charlie Austin to Southampton earlier today, a move for Bamford would make perfect sense and represent a great coup.

Bamford himself will be keen to get back on to the pitch after being told by Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink to train with the Under-21 team, essentially cancelling out any hope he had of making the first team squad.

QPR take on Neil Redfearn’s Rotherham United away from home today in what is a must win game.

QPR fans… what do you make of the news? Is Bamford the sort of player you need? Can he help fire you higher up the table? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
