It’s safe to say that Adrian Popa hasn’t made the impact he would have originally hoped for with Berkshire-based Reading.
Popa signed for the club in January 2017 from Romanian side FCSB, but has struggled for consistent minutes with the Championship club ever since.
In total, the winger has made 17 appearances for the Royals, and has spent the 2019/20 season out on loan away from the Madejski Stadium.

He has scored just once in his time with Reading, and it seems unlikely that he has much of a future with Mark Bowen’s side heading into next year’s campaign.
Popa is currently on loan with former club FCSB, and has made 17 appearances for them, before recent off-the-field events called the season to an abrupt halt.
Plenty of Reading supporters took to Twitter to issue their thoughts on whether Popa has a future at the Madejski Stadium heading into the summer transfer window.

Forgot he was even still our player. Never thought he was that bad, but I also don’t know how much he is earning. And, next season could be financially critical, so we can be weighed down with high waged players who aren’t that bad. Need cheap wages and a playoff finish.
