Leeds United chief Andrea Radrizzani has refused to rule out a potential transfer move for striker Edinson Cavani.

Speaking to Sky Italia via the Daily Mail, Radrizzani said: 'In addition to his quality, Cavani could contribute with his physicality and adapt here, but I've never talked about him with the coach [Marcelo Bielsa],'

'Having said that, we've certainly thought about him and we'll see, given he's still available on a free transfer.'

The Uruguayan 33-year-old is set to depart PSG on a free, after scoring seven goals in 22 appearances for the French giants this season.

So, would Cavani fit in at Bielsa's Leeds?

The team here at FLW take a look....

What an unbelievable signing this would be - surely it won't happen, though?

We talk about Championship forwards and young players from Argentina when we think about Leeds' transfer policy heading into next season, but Cavani is on a different planet, and let's not forget that a few years ago, he was arguably one of the best centre-forwards in world football.

He may be 33, but you would still back him to score 15-20 goals in the Premier League, but ultimately, it would be whether he fits into Marcelo Bielsa's system and he is able to adapt to the Argentine's training methods.

His wages are obviously bound to be the biggest factor in deciding whether he moves to Leeds or not - the Whites simply cannot afford to spend £150,000-a-week or so on one player, and it is so unhealthy from a financial perspective and unsustainable.

If they can pull this off, though, then it would be one of the signings of the summer.

He'd obviously be a class signing but I can't see it happening to be honest.

Leeds have said that they're not going to spend big in the summer window, rather adding quality over quantity, and though there'd be no fee here I can't help but think that approach will apply to wages too.

Cavani is in a different stratosphere when it comes to the wages he'll be on and though Leeds have money I just don't see how they would be able to work it out.

Obviously stranger things have happened and he'd score goals for them but I would be shocked if it happened.

Have each of these 15 Leeds United players scored a league goal this season? - Can you get 15/15? Have a go now!

Ambitious. In fact, incredibly ambitious from the Leeds United owner.

The profile of the club is going to allow Leeds to chase signings in a decent enough market, but even then you’ve got to question whether names like Cavani are going to be out of reach just now.

For me, Leeds need someone around the 23/24 age mark, who can come in and wrestle the starting spot from Patrick Bamford and then provide long-term competition for someone like Tyler Roberts.

Cavani is a fairly short-sighted signing, but then you can’t really deny that he would be a great addition to the club and the Premier League - it’s a division he’d score goals in.

It’s good to be ambitious and Radrizzani is certainly that, but I don’t see this making too much sense at this moment in time.
