West Bromwich Albion have decided they want to carry on the Championship season behind closed doors instead of curtailing it, according to the Express and Star.

The English Football League locked heads this week to come to a solution on how to resolve the 2019/20 season, with them now letting the individual EFL clubs decide on whether to continue playing or to curtail the season.

A 51% majority is needed in each league for it to be curtailed.

The EFL has stated that if a division was to be curtailed, the final table would be decided utilising a unweighted points-per-game method - which in West Brom's case would have meant that them and Leeds would have been promoted to the Premier League.

It is expected that the Championship will continue behind closed doors next month in line with the Premier League, whilst League One and Two will be curtailed.

The news that the Baggies are to vote to continue the season has naturally generated a response from many fans of the club, with a large proportion of those who responded seeing it as a positive solution.

Many West Brom fans flocked to Joseph Masi's tweet on Twitter confirming the news, and here is how they views this update.....
