Middlesbrough dropped two points in their quest for promotion with a tepid 1-1 draw with Derby County this weekend.

Were it not for Jayden Bogle's rather unfortunate own goal, it could have been a fourth game at home without a goal and a defeat. The Derby player helped Pulis save some face, but it wasn't an afternoon the fans will remember fondly.

Tony Pulis baffled them by bringing off Everton loanee Mo Besic in the second half, despite a rather comfortable display in the middle of the park.

Besic has been strong for Boro this season, making seven starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship.  He's chipped in with two goals and provided two assists, but it wasn't enough to keep him on the field.

That has brought Boro fans to Twitter, openly wondering what the midfielder did wrong to be taken off over other, less effective players. Here's some of their responses.
