Bradford City striker Eoin Doyle has signed for Swindon Town on a loan deal, the club has confirmed.

Doyle joined the Bantams from Preston North End last August, but he has now joined Gary Bowyer's side's League Two rivals after spending just one season at the Utilita Energy Stadium.

The 31-year-old made a total of 51 appearances for Bradford, during which time he scored 11 goals, but he failed to prevent his side from suffering relegation last term as they finished bottom of League One.

Doyle is now set to move on despite starting for Bradford in all three of their competitive matches so far this season, but he was substituted from both league matches which his side drew.

However, there were also questions asked regarding why Bradford had decided to sell to a League Two rival and leave themselves short in attack.
