Stoke City finished in 19th place in the Premier League table, three points adrift of safety. But with just seven wins all season, it wasn’t enough to keep the Potters up.

They will certainly be considered one of the biggest teams in England’s second flight next season, and will be hoping to strengthen their side with new transfers and see themselves promoted back to the Promised Land the first time of asking.

With some talented players in their squad, the Potters will undoubtedly be raided this summer, which leaves positions open and a healthy transfer budget.

Here are three deals that could see Stoke City bounce straight back to the Premier League.

Kurt Zouma spent this season on loan from Chelsea at Stoke City, playing 37 times across all competitions.

The dominant defender impressed alongside Ryan Shawcross throughout the campaign, and would make the ideal signing for Paul Lambert’s side. His presence and defensive capabilities would make him one of the best in his position in England’s second tier.

The French international wouldn’t come cheap however, as he still has five years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper has been in and out of a solid Watford side this season, ending up 14th in the Premier League in what is likely to his last for the Hornets.

With Jack Butland almost certainly on the move, the leadership of the Brazilian could pay off greatly for the Potters next season.

With experience of Championship promotion already on his record, one final season for Gomes at Stoke could be the perfect send off for the veteran goalie, and the Potters.

Currently on loan to play-off hopefuls Middlesbrough, the Everton loanee would be a strong signing for Paul Lambert's side.

With interested in Joe Allen already starting, a solid centre midfielder will be a must in the transfer market for Stoke City this summer, and the Bosnian can provide that.

With Championship and Premier League experience already to his name, Besic is a no nonsense middle man who is unlikely to get any first team football back at his parent club.
