Gary Rowett has already been very busy during this summer's transfer window, wasting no time in assembling a squad that can fire Stoke back into the Premier League.

So far they have brought in four new signings who will most likely be in Rowett's starting XI.

Benik Afobe, Oghenekaro Etebo, Adam Federici, Lasse Sorensen have all joined the club ahead of the 2018/19 season.

But it is unlikely that Rowett will be resting on his laurels for the rest of the summer and will have his eye on more players who can come in and strengthen them further.

Here then, are three forgotten about stars from the Premier League who could drop down a division and fire Stoke to promotion.

One area that Stoke still need reinforcements in at centre-back, with Martins-Indi and Shawcross the only two experienced in that position.

Someone who could come in is Southampton's Jack Stephens. The 24-year-old has dropped further down the pecking order after the arrival of Jannik Vestergaard so could be willing to drop down a division for game time.

The Potter's squad lacks defensive protection from the midfield at the moment with Badou N'Diaye set to leave and Geoff Cameron looking to be on his way out too.

Chowdhury is somebody who proved himself to be a talented player for Leicester at the back end of last season, but is unlikely to feature for the Foxes much this season, so a loan deal could well be struck.

He is a solid presence in midfield and is set to be a big player in the future.

Stoke need reinforcements on the wings with star man Xerdan Shaqiri all but a Liverpool player now.

One person they could look at is Reds' winger Harry Wilson.

Wilson was a sensation during his short spell at Hull City last season which has led to a scramble for his signature this summer.
