Stoke City transfer round-up: Surprising deal touted, exits order of the day

Stoke City are one of the favourites this season coming for promotion to the Premier League.

The Potters are back in the second tier for the first time in a decade and will be looking to bounce back straight-away.

Rumours are rife about the Potteries at the moment, then, so let’s take a look at what is being said…

Surprisingly, Manchester United are apparently keen on stopper Lee Grant. The goalkeeper shone in goal back when Jack Butland was off injured for a long period in the Premier League and Jose Mourinho is clearly a fan. The Telegraph is running this one.

Meanwhile, an exit that has been confirmed is that of Marc Muniesa. The Spaniard spent last season on loan at Catalan side Girona and has made his deal permanent this week. The Potters confirmed the deal via their Twitter account.

Finally, another potential exit could see Badou Ndiaye leave the club. The powerful midfielder is wanted by a host of sides and Turkish outlet Aksam has underlined that with Crystal Palace apparently the latest to throw their hat in the ring.
