It has already been a busy start to the January transfer window for Stoke City, who will be eager to reshape their squad in their bid for Championship survival.

The Potters currently sit 21st in the Sky Bet Championship table, one point clear of the relegation zone after a massive 5-2 victory away at Huddersfield Town last week.

There is no getting away from the fact that it has been a dismal season for Stoke, but under Michael O'Neill, they have shown signs of promise.

The former Northern Ireland boss will be keen to bring in his own players this month, as well clearing the deadwood in order to make way for new arrivals.

Here, we round up what's been happening on the transfer front so far this month...

Badou N'Diaye

We have already seen a player leave the bet365 Stadium this month, with Badou N'Diaye joining Turkish side Trabzonspor on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The midfielder was a key player under Nathan Jones but struggled for regular game time under Michael O'Neill, making just one league start before sealing a move away.

Having spent the whole of last season on loan with Galatasaray, N'Diaye is no stranger to the Turkish Super Lig, and he will be eager to get back to his best and play more regularly.

This comes after news claimed that O'Neill was under pressure to slash the club's wage bill, with N'Diaye said to be one of Stoke's highest earners.

Lee Gregory

The Daily Mail claim that Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing striker Lee Gregory.

The 31-year-old arrived at the bet365 Stadium on a free transfer from Millwall in the summer, and has since been in and out of the team since his move to Staffordshire.

Gregory has scored four goals in a total of 23 appearances for the Potters, competing with the likes of Sam Vokes and Tyrese Campbell for a place up top.

But the Daily Mail claim that Wednesday are interested in signing Gregory, as Garry Monk looks to bolster his attacking options.

Scott Hogan

The Telegraph claim that Aston Villa could be set to recall Scott Hogan from his loan spell at the bet365, after what has been a turbulent season for the striker thus far.

The 27-year-old has made just four league starts for the Potters since arriving on loan from Villa in the summer, finding the back of the net three times in a total of 15 appearances.

But with Villa desperate for a striker, it is claimed that Hogan could be set to be used as a short-term option, after being demoted to the under-23s at Stoke.

Joe Allen

West Ham United have had a bid rejected for midfielder Joe Allen, according to Football Insider.

The Wales international has been a key player  for the Potters this season, making 24 appearances in all competitions, but has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium.

It is claimed that the Hammers have had a bid in the region of £5m rejected for the midfielder, however a bid of around £8m could be enough to lure him away from the Staffordshire club.

Tyrese Campbell

The chase is on for striker Tyrese Campbell, whose contract at the bet365 Stadium runs out at the end of this season.

The 20-year-old has scored three goals in his last three league games, and is starting to establish himself as a really important player under O'Neill.

But the Independent claim that Crystal Palace, Wolves, Rangers and Celtic are all interested in the young forward, with Stoke under pressure to tie him down to a new deal.
