Stoke City fans will be hoping that the addition of Jordan Thompson is a sign of things to come, as Michael O’Neill prepares to reshape his squad this month.
The Northern Ireland international became the Potters’ first signing of the January transfer window on Friday, arriving on a two-and-a-half year deal from League One Blackpool.
It has also been a busy few days in the outgoing front for Stoke, too, with midfielder Ryan Woods joining Millwall on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Here, then, we round up all of the latest Stoke City transfer rumours, starting off with further interest in Lee Gregory…
The 31-year-old has scored four goals in 24 games for Stoke since arriving on a free transfer from Millwall in the summer, but has been in and out of the team under Michael O’Neill.

The 25-year-old has endured a turbulent time at Ibrox since arriving from Kilmarnock in the summer, and hasn’t featured for the Gers since the start of September.
Jones was sent off against Celtic in their 2-0 defeat to Neil Lennon’s side and also picked up an injury in the process.
Jones is no stranger to O’Neill having played under him for Northern Ireland, and he could now be set for a move to Staffordshire.
The Daily Mail claim that Stoke – as well as Bristol City and Sunderland – are interested in signing Cardiff midfielder Will Vaulks.
The 26-year-old signed for Cardiff from Rotherham United in the summer, on the back of scoring eight goals and adding seven assists for the Millers despite their relegation last term.
But the midfielder has made only three starting appearances in the Championship this season, and he could be set to move away from South Wales this month.
