Stoke City head into their game against Aston Villa this weekend in desperate need of three points to ease their faint relegation fears.

The Potters are in a poor run of form and were left frustrated last weekend as they conceded late on to leave Portman Road with a point against Ipswich Town who remain rooted to the bottom of the league table.

We look at some of the hot topics around the club from the last week.

Fan base growing frustrated

There have been concerns raised by supporters about whether Nathan Jones is the right man to be in charge of the club.

But with Gary Rowett also struggling to get the best out of some fantastic players, the players have to be taking some of the blame.

Something needs to change - and fast.

Saido Berahino situation

It’s a really dark place at the moment around the club, and one man certainly isn’t helping that atmosphere at all.

Saido Berahino has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons this week, with the striker being charged with drink-driving offences.

He is now training with the Stoke youth teams according to the Express & Star and I’m sure many Stoke City supporters would be happy for him to never play for the club again.

It doesn't get any easier for Jones' side

It’s been a rotten week for everyone associated with the club, and it doesn’t get any easier, with Jones’ side hosting out-of-form Aston Villa this weekend.

Dean Smith's side have a number of attack thinking players that can  cause a frail-looking Stoke defence all sorts of problems on the day.

The sooner this week is done and dusted, the better for Stoke.
