Stoke City want a clear-out before the end of the month as they look to trim their squad.

According to The Daily Mail, Stoke manager Gary Rowett is ready to offload Charlie Adam and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting if they find potential suitors.

Choupo-Moting only joined the club last summer, signing a three-year contract with the club.

The 29-year-old plays as a centre-forward or on the wing and he scored five times in 32 appearances.

But the Cameroon international has not featured this season under Rowett and will be allowed to leave.

Adam is also yet to play this season, having made over 150 appearances for Stoke since his 2012 move from Liverpool.

Bolton Wanderers have been credited with an interest in the 32-year-old and could make a late loan move.

Stoke midfielder Giannelli Imbula will also be allowed to leave, with some Spanish clubs taking an interest in him.

The Verdict

Stoke fans will be pleased to see Adam leave as he is not the same player he once was for the Potters.

The Scotsman's legs have gone and it is time to move him on.

Choupo-Moting, on the other hand, could have been a useful option for Stoke this season but they have lots of other players who could fill the wide roles and play as a central striker too.
