Stoke City are set to announce that Tyrese Campbell is set to leave the club to join League One side, Shrewsbury Town on loan for the remainder of this year's campaign according to HITC Sport.

Newly appointed boss Nathan Jones evidently doesn't see Campbell in his plans for the Stoke first-team and it will be interesting to see how he develops out on loan.

With Sam Vokes looking set to arrive at Stoke according to Sky Sports, it'll only push the promising young striker further down the pecking order which will be frustrating for the youngster.

Campbell made his first-team debut against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup earlier this season, and he made a good impression as he netted a brace against the League One side.

He will be hoping to make a positive impact for a Shrewsbury side that have struggled in League One this season, and he'll be keen to score regular goals in the hope of staking a claim for a starting spot at Stoke next season.

If the move is completed in time, Campbell is in line to make his debut for Shrewsbury this weekend when they take on promotion-chasing Luton Town.

The Verdict:

This is the ideal move for both parties.

Campbell was never going to be getting in the starting XI on a regular basis and he could really develop as a player out on loan in League One for the remainder of the season.

He could certainly be one to watch for the future at Stoke.
