Stoke City forward Bojan is attracting interest from the Premier League, with Huddersfield Town monitoring his situation at the Potters.

The former Barcelona star has never quite done it in England and has struggled for form with Stoke, but according to Alan Nixon, he could be offered a route back into the top flight by way of David Wagner and his struggling Terriers team.

A full Spanish international, Bojan spent part of last season back in his homeland on loan with Alaves, but he struggled for goals there too, and the 28-year-old will know he is at a bit of a crossroads in terms of his career.

A once integral part of the Barcelona team and thought to be one of the next big things to emerge from La Liga, Bojan moved to Roma after falling down the pecking order with the Catalan club where he had varying degrees of success in the Italian capital.

He returned to Barcelona before a loan spell with Stoke was made permanent back in 2014.

However, his time with the club has not been a fruitful one overall, and he will no doubt have to give serious consideration to any potential offer from Huddersfield.

The Terriers are in desperate need of some new signings at the top end of the pitch, and will see Bojan as a low risk signing if they can convince Stoke to part ways with their man.

The Verdict

This move might well work out for Bojan, who needs to leave Stoke really to get his career going.

At 28 he still has his prime years ahead of him if he can get it right, and he could well offer Huddersfield something they severely lack at the moment.
