Stoke City are edging nearer to the signing of Newcastle winger Matt Ritchie in a £15m deal, according to the Sun.
The Potters are hoping to wrap up what will be seen as massive signing in the coming days, with Ritchie set to move to the Potters and join Gary Rowett in the hopes of leading the club back into the Premier League at the first attempt.
Ritchie joined the Magpies in a big money deal from Bournemouth a few seasons back and now looks set for a return to the Championship with the recently relegated Potters.
The Scottish international will make the move, to the surprise of many Newcastle fans, and will be a key signing for Rowett as he looks to add Premier League quality to a squad which already appears to have the makings of a promotion winning squad.
The deal, worth in the region of £15m to Newcastle, will be one of the biggest in the Championship over the summer no doubt, but this does not mean the spending will stop for Rowett, who is also reportedly eyeing up a swoop for West Brom winger James McLean.
Stoke fans, what do you think to this? Good deal or too much? Let us know in the comments!
