It's safe to say that it's been a frustrating season for Stoke City, who have struggled for a run of positive results for much of this year's campaign.

The Potters are currently sat 17th in the second tier standings, and are just three points clear of the relegation zone with nine games remaining this term.

One player that has struggled in his time with the club this season is Badou Ndiaye, who has been out on loan with Turkish side Trabzonspor since January.

According to StokeonTrentLive, Ndiaye is reportedly keen to make his stay with the Turkish club a permanent one at the end of the season.

However, any potential move has been put on hold for the time being, as recent events are likely to have delayed the start of the summer transfer window.

Ndiaye has made a good impression out on loan with Trabzonspor, and has made nine appearances for them, whilst also chipping in with one goals and two assists.

There is reportedly a stumbling block over any potential deal between both parties though, with Stoke potentially wanting a fee in the region of €8m for Ndiaye's services.

It remains to be seen as to whether any potential agreement will be reached in the near future, but it seems unlikely that he'll have much of a future with Stoke City whilst they're still playing their football in the Championship.

The Verdict:

Surely he'll be leaving the club in the summer?

Obviously it'll depend on finances, but Ndiaye won't want to be playing his football in the Championship next season with the Potters.

If I was Stoke, I'd be looking at moving him on for a cheaper fee than their original asking price, as they can reinvest the money into players who are willing to play for the club and are proven in the Championship.

He's impressed out on loan this season, but I just can't see him having any part to play for Stoke City anytime soon.
