Stoke City face a tough test at the weekend when they take on Aston Villa, where the Villans will be looking to turn their poor run of form around.

Nathan Jones' side are in a shocking run of form themselves, and the certain sections of the fan support are starting to question whether Nathan Jones was the right appointment earlier this season.

Their task on Saturday has got that little bit harder, with Villa boss Dean Smith revealing (quotes sourced from the Express & Star) that Jack Grealish could be in line to return to the side.

"I’m hoping Jack may be available for the bench at Stoke. He is working on his fitness side at the moment."

The creative midfielder has been out of action since picking up a shin injury against West Brom in early December, and he has left a notable void in this Villa side.

Stoke fans would have fancied their chances of taking all three points in this one, but there will be concerns that Grealish's potential inclusion could hand Villa the edge.

The Potters defence have looked frail for the majority of this season, and Grealish has the quality to provide Aston Villa with that creative spark that has been missing for a number of months now.

It certainly isn't a good atmosphere around Stoke at the moment, with the Potters showing the type of form of a team battling relegation, as opposed to a team fighting to win promotion.

Grealish's return has come at the worst time possible, as even though most optimistic of Stoke City supporters will admit that he will be a huge boost to Aston Villa's chances of coming away from this one with all three points.

The future doesn't look it will get any brighter if you're a Stoke City supporter - that's for sure.
