Stoke City were disappointing for much of this season, and their supporters will be keen for their side to switch their attention to next year's campaign at the earliest of opportunities.

The club seem to be wasting no time in adding to their squad, with new signings looking like they are just round the corner.

The Sun's Tom Barclay revealed that Stoke are closing in on a triple transfer swoop as they prepare for next season in the Championship.

It has been no secret that they are long-term admirers of Lee Gregory, with the Millwall striker's contract expiring this summer and he'll be hoping to challenge the likes of Benik Afobe for a starting spot in Nathan Jones' squad.

Nick Powell is another player that has been in good form this season, and could prove to be a steal as a free agent, as he's already shown that he can score goals frequently in the Championship.

Whereas there had been doubts that Stoke would struggle to complete a deal for Adam Davies, with the Barnsley goalkeeper being offered a new deal by the newly promoted Tykes.

The Potters will be hoping that they can make a timely return to the Premier League this season, and with these signings looking imminent, they've certainly strengthened in areas that were needed.

The Verdict:

These will be excellent signings by the Potters.

They're all players in form at the moment, and that is exactly what Stoke need to get themselves out of the Championship next season.

I think signings like this will tilt their promotion bid into their favour.
