Stoke City are continuing talks which could see midfielder Badou Ndiaye make a big money move to Monaco this summer.

According to a report from the Stoke Sentinel via Yahoo Sports, the midfielder is in talks with the French giants about sealing a move to the club despite only just returning to Stoke following a loan spell with Galatasaray and international duty.

Ndiaye was a big money signing for Stoke just a couple of seasons ago but was moved out of the club following the Potters' relegation from the Premier League.

And he impressed too during his time in Turkey, making a big impression on the Galatasaray fans and coaching staff as he showed just why Stoke forked out a hefty fee for him previously.

However, Ndiaye now looks to be on his way out of the club as Monaco hope to conclude a deal, although Potters manager Nathan Jones has admitted he has a good relationship with the player, and that he will only be moving on if a club meets the valuation Stoke have set for him.

The 28-year-old Senegalese star will be looking to test himself, with Jones admitting that he wants to test himself at the highest level possible.

The Verdict

I think this move is going to happen, despite what Jones is saying.

Ndiaye will want to play at the top level and there's no doubt he will get the chance to do that at a club like Monaco.

Stoke would be getting a fine midfield player on their hands if they can somehow convince Ndiaye to stay, but for now, the writing appears to be on the wall.
