Brentford started 2018 in the worst possible manner, after being thrashed 3-0 by the runaway league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Dean Smith's side were in fine-form heading into this one after going on a four-game unbeaten streak, but it wasn't to be as the Bees were outclassed by an inspired second-half performance from Wolves.

With the play-off places still in reach for the London based club, they'll be hoping that they can rediscover the fine form they displayed over the festive period, in order to give themselves the highest possible finish.

One player who was on the receiving end of the loss was left-back Yoann Barbet. The Frenchman has been influential for Brentford this season after producing 3 goals for the side from a defensive position, as he continues to fill the huge void left by Jake Bidwell.

Following the disappointing result, the defender took to his personal Twitter account (@BarbetYoann) to display his post-match thoughts, and to thank fans for their efforts.

Following the post from Yoann Barbet, fans were quick to praise the side for their efforts, and insist that their play-off dream is still alive.

With that in mind, here's a look at exactly what the Bees' supporters thought of the post.
