Leeds United’s defensive game has been under the microscope in recent weeks, with Paul Heckingbottom’s side struggling to keep clean sheets.

Back-to-back 2-2 draws, with Bristol City and Derby County, highlighted plenty of weaknesses in Leeds’ defensive game, with Liam Cooper and Felix Wiedwald amongst those coming in for criticism.

Cooper and Wiedwald both retained their place in the starting XI for yesterday’s cash with Brentford in the Sky Bet Championship, with Cooper’s goal securing a 1-0 victory for Heckingbottom’s side.

Both the central defender and goalkeeper put in much improved performances at Elland Road yesterday, with Heckingbottom delighted with the improvement from his defensive unit.
