Sheffield Wednesday haven't half had a difficult season this time round in the Championship, falling well short of expectations at the beginning of the season to come nowhere near making a run at the playoffs.

Carlos Carvalhal has been and gone and new manager Jos Luhukay has struggled to make an impact, but while it might look bad on the surface, the Owls can point to a shocking injury crisis which has seen them at times without up to 15 first team players.

With this in mind, it was interesting yesterday to see a stat on the Owls revealing that they have made 100 changes to their starting XI this season, more than any other Championship side.

The stat will no doubt come as quite a surprise to many an Owls fan, with 100 changes seeming an awful lot even given the injury crisis.

Obviously, plenty of fans were going to have their say in reply to Dom Howson, and it's safe to say that there was a mix of sympathy and none whatsoever from the Wednesday faithful.
