Blackburn midfielder Harry Chapman has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at the amount of rain in the town, in a move which has amused his followers on the social media site.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan at the club from Middlesbrough, and it appears to the player that the north west of the country receives a lot more rainfall than his native north east.

Chapman has impressed for Rovers since joining the club on a season-long loan deal, with the central midfielder scoring once in eight League One appearances so far.

The youngster has adapted well to the demands of the third tier, and his form has helped Blackburn to seventh in the table, just a point outside the play off places.

Chapman’s complaints about the weather are reminiscent of a top Brazilian or Spanish player, rather than a young lad from Hartlepool, and his comments have prompted a strong response from Twitter users…
